A great effort by all the girls today against Thurgoona. The defence did a great job with lots of intercepts.

A stellar effort from the U13s this week after what can only be described as a slow start.

The girls had an amazing win on the weekend bumping us up to 4th on the ladder! They worked as a team and stayed calm as the game got physical. The combinations in defence, mid court and attack are amazing to watch as their connections continue to grow. It was a great game to watch!

C RESERVE
Score: Wahgunyah 9 Thurgoona 45
The girls continue to bring their best efforts along with lots of smiles and laughs as they look to cap off what has been a fantastic inaugural season of C Res. A strong defensive effort this week, however it was not enough to hold off the powerhouse that is Thurgoona. We look to the last week to finish off strong and celebrate everything that the ladies have achieved this season.

C GRADE
Score: Wahgunyah 28 Thurgoona 77
Thurgoona has been our toughest game all season and this week we were simply hoping to improve on our last meeting, and that was achieved. Our defence had their work cut out for them and they did everything possible with the few opportunities they had to turn the ball over. Here’s hoping next week is a little closer and we can finish off the season strong.

B Grade
Score: Wahgunyah 42 Thurgoona 72
B grade had fantastic passages of play, being only 5 down at quarter time the competitiveness and the skill level is there to compete with a top 5 team. It comes down to fitness and connections in defence and attack with team members to put 4 quarters together.

A GRADE
Score: Wahgunyah 38 Thurgoona 45
After beating third on the ladder, Tallangatta, by 3 goals last week, were heading into this game with nothing to lose. Simply, it was to go out and show themselves and the supporters how far we have come.
After going down by 11 in the first round to Thurgoona we knew it would be a close game., and that it was. Twenty all at half time, it was anyone's game, with a few errors, missed goals and contentious umpiring calls we ended up going down by 7 goals.
Defensively George, Morgan and Caity were sending the ball back repeatedly and playing as one unit. Hopefully with a good pre-season our connections in the attack end will stick.
Danni, Taleaka, Lauren, Tahli and Codij are continually improving with connections and reading of each other, it's been a pleasure to watch. Next week is the last game for the season, bring on Wodonga Saints with a final win for the season in our sights.
