Undera aims to build a positive, winning culture in 2023

Incoming Lions coach Rachel Torney said she would look to instil some belief and confidence in the struggling outfit.

“There’s no way to go but up,” the first-year coach said.

“Last year, there didn’t seem to be a lot who wanted to do the hard yards.

“So my main goal this year is to create positive vibes within the team. High-fiving and supporting each other right from the get-go to create a positive space out there.”

The Lions have seen an increase in numbers for the “first time in a long time” according to Torney.

“We’ve restructured the coaching system for the junior and senior teams and it’s all running smoothly so far. I’m super pumped for the upcoming season,” Torney said.
