Tungamah 43 def by Rennie 45
Tunga faced off against Rennie this week at home. The game was intense from the start, with both teams’ determination to get the win.
Rennie came out strong in the first quarter, with the Tungamah girls slowly picking up the pace and settling into the game.
Defence was solid, with Amy and Penny working tirelessly to stop the goalers, getting multiple turnovers.
The second quarter saw the girls fight back, but unfortunately Rennie maintained their lead. The pressure down the court from defence and attack was fantastic with the girls working hard all game.
The third was a blinder for Amy seeing her get 3 different goalers in that quarter, she was able to read the play amazingly getting taps and intercepts under the post.
Lauren again worked hard in goals having a fantastic game. Unfortunately the girls were not able to fight back in the last going down by 2 goals.
It was great to see the girls continue to fight until the end of the game putting a solid 4 quarters out on the court.

This week the Bears took on undefeated Rennie and it is clear why they are sitting pretty at the top of the ladder, they came out firing taking a 11 goal lead in the first quarter.
Unfortunately, the girls knew they had their work cut out for them for the rest of the day.
The second quarter saw the girls come back onto the court with a bit more confidence with them equalling Rennie. Defence worked hard getting turnovers with the girls being able to convert some, unfortunately some unforced errors saw those turnovers not get converted into goals.
The game continued to be a tough battle with the girls trying to keep their heads and fight out the rest of the game.
Unfortunately Rennie were way too strong and took the win convincingly.

The Bears had a tough game against friendly rivals, the Hoppers. The conditions were extremely slippery with lots of dropped balls and sliding on court.
The lead continued to change throughout the game as the Bears girls hustled down the court.
A fitting end to the game to come away with a draw. Elli continued with strong drives into the ring and Claire never gave up and lifted the motivation of players in the last quarter.

Friendly rivalry game for the Tungamah girls. Foggy conditions and a damp court saw a slow start as the girls were a little fresh.
At the end of the first quarter, the girls were up by 2. They were reminded to drive and then to re lead to help get the ball out of defence and down the court to the shooters who were able to convert.
Strong second and third quarters put the team in a strong position going into the last quarter. Rennie came at the Bears in the last quarter with a strong finish, but the team were able to remain composed.
Coaches were happy with the girl’s game, luckily, they were able to hold on to take the win. Great effort Bears!
