Are you an ace on the board, bike or scooter and want to test your skills against the rest?
If so, head to Benalla Skate Park on December 12 for a chance to be a part of the North East Skate Park Series.
Put forward as a chance to compete in skate, scooter and BMX events, the Skate Park League competitions are community-based grass-roots events focused on embracing skate park culture and bringing the community together.
The action at Benalla begins at 11am, with skaters hitting the park first to compete in the 10-and-under, 13-and-under, 16-and-under and open categories.
Next up are the BMX participants in the 13-and-under and open disciplines, and rounding out the day are the scooter events, which feature the same sections as the skaters.
The day’s format will see each rider have the park to themselves for two 45-second runs, where points will then be added together and tallied based on the quality and difficulty of tricks landed.
Male and female divisions are available to enter in each event.
However, every entrant has the chance to win something.
All competitors go in the draw to win one of the competition’s raffle prizes to encourage widespread participation.
Event organisers advise helmets must be worn be all competitors, and that times may change due to heat.
