The inter-club is an Invitational event for up-and-coming swimmers aged 13 and under. 'Brophy' teams come from across the southern half of country New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory to compete at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra.
The Corowa swimmers joined the Southern Inland Swimming Association (SISA) Green team, along with swimmers from Colleambally, Hay, Leeton/Yanco, Wagga, Griffith, Narrandera, and Albury.
Each of the swimmers aged under 13 joined relay teams with their new SISA teammates.
Lucas Bellette swam personal bests in all his individual events, including over 7 second improvement off his seeded time for backstroke.
Samuel Bellette also swam personal bests and took home gold in the 50m breaststroke for 11-year-old boys.
Matilda Park improved her personal best in all four individual events, including taking over 3 seconds off her butterfly.
Austin Lees and Marshall Lees both took seconds off their personal bests for breaststroke, backstroke and Freestyle and set solid times for butterfly.
Austin improved his backstroke time by 6 seconds, and Marshall took 7 seconds off his breaststroke.
Thanks must go to the SISA team managers, officials, coaches, timekeepers, and parents for supporting the swimmers to compete in Canberra.
Huge congratulations to all our Corowa swimmers for their excellent swimming and exceptional sportsmanship.
The highlight was seeing all the congratulatory high fives in and out of the pool, well done!
