Corowa RSL Bowls Club

President Keith chats to visiting YMGCR bowler Scott Widdison at Jackpot Bowls

Saturday Jackpot Bowls

The very popular winter Jackpot Bowls resulted with no Jackpot being awarded for the last two Saturdays.

Numbers remain steady: last Saturday there were 22 players despite the fact that many of members have travelled to warmer climes for the winter. Guests and social bowlers are making the most of the friendly and fun atmosphere and also the decent numbers turning out for some healthy activities in (mostly) sunshine.

Visitors are welcome and bowls can be loaned, just as for the summer Roller Bowlers program.

Andy Dickins and Brenton “Ketch” Ketchell enjoy a joke after the game on Saturday.

Wednesday Social results

Wednesdays don’t seem to be faring as well weather-wise but the show goes on regardless. Last Wednesday nine brave souls played nine ends in nine degrees. The winners were Hayden Brockley and his grandad Ray Bourke, who won by nine shots!

Club member Robyn Fierenzi is still taking orders for her club beanies and headbands. All proceeds to the club. If you’d like to order a Corowa RSL Bowls Club headband or beanie please contact the club via methods below.
