2022 Mixed Pairs Consistency Tournament was held over the weekend with a good turnout of bowlers from Melbourne, Ballarat, Bendigo, North East of Victoria and Southern Riverina.
The weather wasn’t the best on Saturday but a beautiful sunny day on Sunday.
Five games were played over the two days of 2x4x2 which proved very popular. A big shout out to all the volunteers who helped make the weekend a success. Winners – Paul Kennedy and Judy Davy from Glenroy – R/up – Garry Howlett and Maxine Bounader Wodonga – Third – Dave Bewley and Linda Isted Somerville – Fourth – Wayne Roberts and Janine Roberts Ballarat City Oval – Best Game Day 1 split between Trevor Exton Tallygaroopna and Stephen Day Yarrawonga Day 2 Ray Brown YMGCR.
All members who wish to play Pennant in the coming season please place your name on the sheets for bothWeekend and Midweek Pennant in the tunnel. Weekend Pennant will commence October 15 and Midweek October 18.
Arrangements have been made to play the following Pennant practice matches – at Corowa RSL Club on Saturday, September 3 -Club Mulwala at home on Saturday, September 10 – at Rutherglen on Saturday, September 17 and at Club Mulwala on Tuesday, September 27.
Medley Four Roundup will commence the first Wednesday of September and will run for four weeks, get together a team and add to the sheet in the tunnel.
Club Events – Mixed Handicap Pairs will be played on Sunday, September 11 – entries close on September 4.
Best on Green to be played on Thursday, September 15
Club Pairs are set down for Sunday, October 9.
Club Singles are on Sunday, October 30.
