Kaz played Mary Tragardth from the Myrtleford Bowling Club. After a slow start, Kaz fought her way back and was a couple of shots up midway through the game. Unfortunately for Kaz, Mary had a couple of good ends and came out the winner.
Adam played Andy Hunter of Moira and was playing very good bowls. Adam had a handy lead for most of the game and came out winner.
The second round was played soon after with Adam playing Terry Hallinan from Milawa. The wind had picked up and was hard to get bowls to the head on a couple of ends, this was a very close game, but Adam couldn’t get over the line.
Both Adam and Kaz have proudly represented Civic, congratulations on getting to this level.
The Business House Fours got underway on Wednesday with members rewarded with a beautiful evening. There were over 90 participants, who were very enthusiastic and eager to have a great night. The club looks forward to seeing you all again for the next three weeks.
Two games were played on Friday afternoon of the Mixed Pairs – Col Hendren and Kaz Hughes took on Adam Corcoran and Lynne Pyke. Col and Kaz were in control for the first few ends and were 7 – 4 after 6 ends, Adam and Lynne got rid of the nerves and after end 12 both teams were 11 -11. Adam and Lynne finished off very strongly coming out winners 19 – 13.
The other game was played between John White and Sue Dawson against Don and Annette Norman this was a very close game right to the end, Don and Annette got away to a handy lead after 7 ends score being 9 – 4, after 12 ends the score was 10-10, John and Sue picked up a couple of shots in the next few ends and came away winners 13-11.
The next round will be between Adam and Lynne playing Col Webb and Judy Willett. John and Sue will play the winner of this game.

Round 13 wasn’t good for Civic with all three sides losing – A2 lost to Corowa RSL by 12 shots, A3 went down by 34 shots to Yackandandah, and B2 lost at home to Wodonga by 33 shots.

Weekend Pennant – Round 14
The final round for the season turned out to be very interesting, A2 played away against Chiltern winning by 19 shots, B2 at home won by 15 shots against Club Mulwala, B3 at home to Howlong lost by 4 shots. A2 has finished in 2nd place in the home and away , B2 have had a good year and are in 1st position, B3 with their loss has dropped out of the final series being 6th on the ladder.
