The morning began with the newest rowers lining up in quad sculls with some more experienced rowers to gain some invaluable race experience leading into the MRA Regatta in January.
Following the two quad scull finals, the popular time trial Octa scull rows continued the days racing theme with little separating the 3 crews.
The final row was Fergus in the boat with 7 of the clubs more experienced rowers rowing past the crowd showcasing the finer points of the sport.
Thanks to all that turned up, particularly those who were having their first race experience.
To have Fergus not only turn up and present medals to the winning crews, but to also jump in with three crews and row with him was a unique opportunity.
To the members who cooked the BBQ and helped with the mornings racing, it is much appreciated.
The club now focuses on the MRA regatta held at Lake Moodemere on January 11 and 12.
A highlight on the rowing calendar, with the three local clubs Wahgunyah, Rutherglen Lake and Corowa hosting over 600 rowers and their families.
The Corowa Rowing Club are still looking for new rowers and coxswains as we prepare for the 2nd half of the season.
