Thanks very much to Club Mulwala for the magnificent dinner everyone enjoyed and the friendly staff who made the evening complete.
Snooker will return to club competition in February 2025, but Wednesday evening social events will continue over the annual break.
The final singles event for 2024 saw Heie Hansen defeating Darren Thompson in a round robin event on Monday, November 18.
This event was originally planned to be a doubles competition, but competitor numbers were too high to make that format possible.
Monday, November 25 saw the annual Directors Challenge where representatives of the Club Mulwala Board of Directors joined in for an evening of social play and banter.
Snooker club members are very grateful to Club Mulwala for its continuing support and sponsorship of the snooker club, and this is an opportunity to express that and also fight for recognition on the perpetual Directors Night Challenge trophy.
The final saw Mia Macheda and Ashley Nicholls taking on Damian Keel (who is a Club Director), and Heie Hansen, who were paired together for the evening.
Mia and Ashley prevailed in a tight finish to what proved to be another great event for all participants.
The final social evenings for the official club season resulted in victory to Craig Jordan over Nev Page on November 20 and Heie Hansen who prevailed over the soon to be re-handicapped Craig Jordan on November 27.
Players who collected trophies for their efforts in club events during 2024 are detailed below. Congratulations to all recipients, but more importantly, thanks you to everyone who played during the year and made the snooker club and sport so enjoyable.
Thanks, must also go to the committee, and in particular the committed and hard-working President, Darren Thompson, whose efforts and contributions are a huge factor in making the club the success it continues to be.
