Investigations into a fatal collision at Yarrawonga Friday night are ongoing.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives believe the incident occurred following an altercation on Hargrave Crt just after 8.30pm.
Two people were allegedly involved in the altercation before a woman attempted to intervene.
A short time later, a man allegedly got into a car and collided with the woman who tried to intervene.
The 46-year-old Yarrawonga woman died at the scene, despite CPR being performed.
Police located the vehicle involved in Shepparton at about 2am Saturday and arrested a 26-year-old Tatura man.
The man has been charged with breach of an intervention order and threats to kill as investigations remain ongoing.
He has been bailed to appear in Shepparton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, June 5.
