We asked the Year 6 students what they had learned from participating in the project as a student leader.
Hattie, Year 6
“I’ve learned that our school really wants to help other people and I think that’s really kind and helpful.”
Scarlett, Year 6
“Older children can show little children how people can help others. We can all help others.”
Priscilla, Year 6
“That it’s a good thing to do. To help people in need if they don’t have a proper kitchen or ways to cook food, it’s good for them because they (the non-perishable food collected) just come in cans.”
Lola, Year 6
“It’s good to help people who are less fortunate, but it’s also good for us so we can learn that we are very fortunate.”
