The event will be held at the Rutherglen Showgrounds from 8:30 am to 5pm and will feature over 20 market stalls, food stalls, three live bands, and a tattoo show.
The community event is a non-for-profit initiative by Nick Hawtin, the owner of Caffeine N Machine, and is aimed at raising funds for two charities, Gateway Health, which provides mental health support for the local community, and the Rutherglen Ag Society, which will go towards improving the showgrounds for future events.
Last year's event drew a lot of excitement to the town, and Nick is hoping this year's event will be even better.
“We had over 300 cars, trucks and motorbikes lined the showgrounds. It was completely unexpected and well-received by the public,” he said.
“The money raised from last year's event supported 15 local families through Gateway Health and saved seven lives
“To be able to support our community like that is so powerful.
“Having this event also shows that there is more to Rutherglen than just wine. We also have some very passionate local car, truck and bike enthusiasts who deserve every opportunity to showcase their vehicles off.”
Nick is urging everyone to get their vehicle entries in early to help with catering and to get an accurate headcount for the event. Visitors on the day can enter for just a gold coin donation, which will go towards the fundraising efforts.
Nick expressed his gratitude to the sponsors who have jumped on board to support the event, and emphasised that it is a “community effort”, with everyone coming together to make it happen.
“This event is all about bringing the community together to celebrate our shared love of cars and support local charities at the same time,” he said
“We have a fantastic line up of vehicles, food stalls, market stalls and entertainment planned, and I can't wait to see everyone enjoying themselves at the event.
“I would like to extend my gratitude to all the sponsors who have supported us and encouraged us to make this year's event even bigger and better than the last.”
Trophies, provided by Grimm Industries, will be awarded for various categories, including best in show, best paint, best engine and people’s choice.
