Described as a family-friendly festival of live music, local food and fun at the Rochester Recreation Reserve, Rochella has been an event months in the making.
Rochester Community House manager Amanda Logie is excited about the event.
“The team has worked hard over the past six months to ensure we put on a great show,” she said.
“The bands are looking forward to coming to Rochester for the event and eagerly look forward to entertaining all of you.
“We have a great variety of food vendors, activities for kids and also a quiet space to chill.”
Headlining the event will be bands such as Cash Savage and the Last Drinks, Empress and The Black Sorrows, while musicians from the local community are also set to take to the stage.
Rochester Community House chair Jane Reid said she hoped Rochella would have an uplifting impact.
“The Rochester Community House team have an intimate understanding of our community and are passionate about providing opportunities to bring our community together and fostering our strong spirit,” Ms Reid said.
“Hosting an event on the scale of Rochella is an incredible opportunity for our town and we can’t wait to see our community come alive with music, laughter and lasting memories.”
