Rochester shows how it’s done

Bendigo’s Maserati Eddy attended with Catherine McAuley College classmates Ava Stephens and Piper Evans as part of their studies.

“The three of us are in Year 9 and this is our first time being part of our school’s agricultural program,” Maserati said.

“Our school has a major focus on sheep and cattle and it sets us up with a good understanding of how we work with livestock.”

Maserati’s upbringing led to her interest in farming.

“On our property in Bendigo, we have about 15 head of cattle, which has got me interested in farming,” she said.

Evelyn Freeman and her children Liam and Hayley came from Glengarry in Gippsland.

“This is our first time attending the Rochester show and it is an eye-opener,” Ms Freeman said.

“We are enjoying it immensely.”

Harry Warren was at the show with his mum Heidi and dad Luke, the Rochester CFA captain.

Harry was thrilled to win a prize on the Shoot ’Em Up game.

“This is a great night to be at the Rochester show,” Harry said after choosing his reward.
