With their diverse backgrounds and valuable experience, the new officers are poised to enhance community safety and law enforcement in the region.
Sergeant Stephen Marshall, who also moved to Corowa recently, expressed his enthusiasm for the new additions.
“We are delighted to have Chris and Rorey join our ranks here in Corowa,” he said.
“Their arrival marks an exciting time for our local police force. We are now at full strength which hasn’t been the case for some time.”
Constable Jennings, who hails from the northern beaches of Sydney, had his first taste of Corowa during the border closures conducting border patrols for a week, while Constable McNamara, who most recently served in Deniliquin, hails from Howlong.
Both told the Free Press that they were enjoying Corowa so far.
The recruitment of Jennings and McNamara comes as part of a broader effort by the New South Wales Police Force to enhance resources across the state.
Sergeant Marshall said the community can expect to see some changes in the way the local police operate.
“We understand it’s been difficult to contact police in the past, but that is changing,” he said.
“We want to be readily available and accessible to the community. Things like if you see the cop car out the front of our building, you know that we are in.
“You can also expect to see the blue and white everywhere- at licensed premises, conducting more RBTs and out and about in the in the local community.”
