Suresh Chandhari and Nikesh Patel’s new business will have a similar concept to Pizza Hut — which closed in April 2021 — but with new recipes and some more additions to their offering.
There will be a buffet with pizza, pasta, salad and dessert, all-you-can-drink soft drinks, takeaway and delivery options.
“People are missing all-you-can-eat and we had lots of people asking, ‘when are you going to start Pizza Hut again’,” Mr Patel said.
“I think they will love it and especially kids because they want ice-cream for dessert and there’s the pizza as well.”
Mr Chandhari and Mr Patel have formed a strong partnership, working together for 16 years.
“We came together from India and we studied together and lived together,” Mr Chandhari said.
“We have seven years’ experience with Pizza Hut so we know how it works and we want to put it here in a new environment.”
There will be old favourites on the pizza and pasta menu, as well as some new flavours to try, and Pizza Plus will also offer tap beer and wine for the adults, and coffee.
The restaurant will have a music system, and televisions in the dining and takeaway waiting area will provide entertainment for patrons.
The delivery service will initially be run in-house, and outdoor dining is in the planning.
Pizza Plus is located at 204 Corio St, Shepparton and will be open seven days for lunch from 11.30am to 2pm, dinner from 5pm to 8.30pm, and takeaway and delivery between 11.30am and 9pm.
Pizza Plus is opening at the end of October and can be found on Facebook.
