The chamber is thrilled to introduce a ‘Town Crier’ who will make regular appearances in the heart of Corowa, reading announcements and keeping both locals and visitors informed about upcoming events.
The Town Crier is set to make his debut at 10am on the first Saturday of every month, starting with the inaugural appearance alongside the one and only Santa Claus at the Light Up Corowa Festival on December 1.
This festive duo will spread cheer to the community with their presence, kicking off the holiday season in style.
“We are looking forward to reinvigorating the main street and creating a vibrant atmosphere that showcases the community spirit of Corowa,” executive of the Corowa Business Chamber John Crothers said.
“The Town Crier will play a crucial role in keeping everyone updated on the exciting events happening in our town.
The chamber extends its gratitude to Gavin from Hair Complex for sponsoring the traditional town crier suit, adding an authentic touch to this revival of a timeless tradition. The sponsorship ensures that he will be a visually striking and captivating figure as he delivers announcements throughout the year.
Santa Claus himself will be making multiple appearances throughout December, spreading joy and festive cheer.
Santa will be present during late-night shopping hours, making it a magical experience for families and shoppers alike on December 7, 14, and 21, while on December 15, he will be visiting the Corowa Cricket Club and Aquatic Centre, making sure that everyone has the chance to share their wishes and be part of the holiday festivities.
The Corowa Business Chamber invites the entire community to come together and celebrate the joy of the season with these exciting additions to the town’s events calendar.
