New name, same charity

In recent years, the volunteer group have raised vital funds for the Corowa Hospital through raffles and Thursday night Bingo.

Secretary Barbara Robinson said in the last two years, two lounges, six electric chairs and a special television for dementia patients has been donated to the hospital and nursing home.

“We’ve also donated funds to the annual nursing home Christmas party and provided Easter Eggs at Easter time,” she said.

Earlier this month, Friends of Corowa Hospital and Nursing Home president Robyn Williams handed over two $5,300 cheques for the Corowa Hospital and Corowa Hospital Nursing Home.

Moneys raised from future raffles and Bingo will continue to go to the Corowa Hospital and Nursing Home.
