Guests share their tips on holidaying and moving to the area, as well as some secrets about towns that even local residents might not know.
Ms Donovan said she created the podcast as a passion project to help attract tourists to the area coming into the busy summer period.
“Regional and rural Australia has a very unique opportunity this summer season for tourism, as international travel is off limits to many travellers,” she said.
“So I wondered what I could do to help contribute to Moira and Federation shires being on people’s list for a holiday — and I love podcasting, I have two already, and clearly love talking, so I thought I could do a podcast.
“There’s no current marketing along those lines for our area — so it was something I can do to help and contribute to the brand awareness of what a great place we have to live, work and holiday.”
Ms Donovan said it was clear there was an audience ready to listen.
Guests on the podcast include Moira Shire chief executive Clare Keenan and Noonan’s Showcase Jewellers’ Cath Noonan.
Ms Donovan said she would appreciate it if those who tuned in also shared the podcast with friends and family members and on social media to help spread the word about the appeal of the Murray.
There are eight episodes available to listen to now with local residents telling their stories.
