Celebrations including music and entertainment were to be held at the reserve marking the end of Kyabram as a municipality.
The organisers of Kyabram Council’s public farewell decided to move the event to the Kyabram Secondary College Assembly Hall due to gale force winds on the day.

Tying in with Kyabram’s big party was an assortment of classic motor vehicles participating in the rally as they made their way across Victoria, bound for the Adelaide Formula 1 Grand Prix.
They arrived around 2.30pm to visit Kyabram and to take a break for afternoon tea.
