For the last two years, COVID-19 interrupted walks, however this year the official walk will take place in Albury.
The Rivalea team have opted to walk in Corowa again this year and invite anyone in the Corowa, Rutherglen, Wahgunyah or surrounding areas to join them.
You don’t need to work at Rivalea as the team has opened it up to be a community walk.
The Sunshine Walk aims to bring people together to raise funds and awareness for cancer services in our Riverina and North-East region. The walk is not competitive and is about enjoying a day out with family and friends, while supporting a great cause.
Team Captain Nicole Griffin said the group was looking forward to being able to make a difference having raised in excess of $35,000 in the 3 years they have been involved.
Team Rivalea will be starting and finishing their walk at Corowa Golf Club. A 20km walk will start at 7am, a 10km walk at 9am, and a 5km walk at 10am with maps available from 7am at the Golf Club tennis courts.
You may spot the walkers around the region in training or on the day, as they will be hard to miss in their yellow Sunshine Walk t-shirts!
The team will be selling raffle tickets out the front of Gyles Newsagency on Saturday, November 5 for anyone wishing to purchase a ticket or make a donation.
