The club’s board of directors has reviewed the organisation structure and will be proposing to members a different presidential approach to the club’s overall operations.
Club members are encouraged to get along to the AGM which will be held at JFO.
Mr Hosier was president from 2014 to 2020, in 2023 and 2024 – the last two years in extremely difficult circumstances following no senior football and netball in 2023 due to floodwaters and shortage of players.
But after an enormous effort in acquiring temporary facilities and recruitment, the Roos returned to the Ovens and Murray Football Netball League, without clubrooms.
The ongoing enormous effort during this season and upon completion of season 2024 has resulted in many more recruits signing up with the club under new coach Daryn Cresswell.
“It is an exciting time ahead,” the outgoing president said. “Steve Owens did an excellent job last season, as coach.
“I believe I have left the club in a very good position. There certainly are exciting times ahead with Daryn Cresswell.”
That exciting process is continuing. The club, however, wants members to hear, tonight, the management structure change reasoning being proposed and to back the board of directors in their recommendation to members.
