Local superintendent Chris Chant OAM said the funding will greatly support volunteers who deliver first aid services to events in the Corowa community and surrounding areas.
“We would like to thank the Corowa RSL Club for their ongoing support to our organisation,” he said.
“It’s always a privilege to come out to Corowa and see the board of directors. We’ve had great support from the club over the last 15 years which has allowed us to purchase equipment like our golf buggy which we use at large events such as the Henty Field Days or Chryslers on the Murray.”
Mr Chant said he hoped to continue to work with the Corowa RSL Club and bring first aid training to the community on a frequent basis.
Every year, St John Ambulance provides first aid education and training to over 50,000 students with training courses ranging from basic resuscitation to advanced first aid.
The St John Ambulance Albury-Corowa Combined Division is run by volunteer members who help the community who are in sickness, distress, suffering or danger.
Mr Norris said he was pleased to support the local St John Ambulance division.
“These ClubGRANTS are just one of the many ways The Corowa RSL Club is able to provide support, services, and facilities for the betterment of our local community,” he said.
ClubGRANTS provide support to tens of thousands of local community organisations, sporting groups, and charities that make a difference in their local area. To find out more visit www.clubgrants.com.au.
