From seeds of change to a nation’s birth

The Corowa District Historical Society celebrated the 130th anniversary of the Corowa Conference over the weekend with a series of exciting events, including a Pioneer Cemetery walk, historians talk and the fabulous Federation Dinner on Saturday evening. The dinner was attended by descendants of the delegates to the 1893 conference including the Piggin family (pictured). See story and more photos on page 3.

130th anniversary of the Corowa Conference

History came alive over the weekend as the Corowa District Historical Society (CDHS) hosted a celebration of the 130th anniversary of the Corowa Conference highlighting the pivotal role Corowa played in shaping the very fabric of a nation.
