Fate of CEO discussed, results unknown

Chair of administrators John Tanner excused himself from the closed session due to conflict of interest.

Mr Tanner, along with Frances O’Brien, headed the Commission of Inquiry into Moira Shire Council, which led to the sacking of the previous council earlier this year.

Acting chief executive Joshua Lewis and several other members of the council executive also excused themselves.

Administrators Suzanna Sheed and Graeme Emonson both attended the closed meeting.

Queried after the meeting about what occurred, Ms Sheed said she couldn’t comment on the issue.

For his part, Mr Tanner also said such matters were confidential.

“These are matters relating to the employment matters of the CEO … and for that reason they have to be confidential,” Mr Tanner said.

Ms Keenan has been on leave since the report of previous council’s failings were made public in March.
