At Friday's ballot draw, Animal Justice Party hope Mike Fuery scored top spot ahead of Dean Rossiter (Liberal Democrats), Luke Brady (Greens), Jacqui Hawkins (Independent), Janelle Stratton (Family First), incumbent Bill Tilley (Liberal), Mark Tait (Labor) and Adrian O'Brien (Freedom Party).
Nominations for registered candidates closed late last week before the ballot was also released on Friday.
Early voting for the election was opened on Monday and will stay open until November 25 with election day on November 26.
Early voting began at voting office in High Street, Wodonga, opposite the Community College on Monday.
As well as the usual parties in Labor, Liberal, Greens and Derryn Hinch’s Justice Party etc producing at least two candidates, this year sees several new parties join the race for a seat in the upper house of Northern Victoria with the Angry Victorians Party, Sack Dan Andrews Restore Democracy Party, Sustainable Australia Party – Stop Overdevelopment / Corruption and Companions and Pets Party.

Justin Clancy to go again
In other local political news, the NSW State executive of the Liberal Party has re-endorsed Justin Clancy MP as the Liberal candidate for the seat of Albury for the 2023 NSW Election.
“It is a privilege to serve the community of the Albury Electorate in the NSW Parliament,” Mr Clancy said.
“I am humbled to have been re-endorsed as the Liberal candidate for the seat.
“I look forward now to seeking re-election to continue to work and deliver with the Perrottet government for the benefit of the Albury Electorate.”
