An EastAUSmilk initiative, the group of farmers from across Queensland and NSW will visit farms at Blighty and Finley.
The touring party arrives on Monday afternoon, and will depart on Thursday.
EastAUSmilk was formed in 2021 and is a combination of two separate advocacy bodies - Dairy Connect and Queensland Dairyfarmers’ Organisation.
It is an advocacy group for dairy farmers in the Queensland and NSW regions.
EastAUSmilk CEO Eric Danzi said the travelling group is made up of dairy farmers all the way from Cairns down to the south coast of NSW.
He said they have arranged to visit seven district farms.
They will also hear from a range of guest speakers, including from Murray Irrigation Limited, Garlock and other farmers.
“The reason behind the trip is to visit some of the best dairy farms and farmers in Australia,” Mr Danzi said.
“The aim is to just show them how dairy farming can operate and be done.
“We’re also hoping to continue to improve dairy practices by coming and visiting farms in the region.”
Mr Danzi said EastAUSmilk is funding the whole trip, thanks to a grant from the Queensland Government.
The funding will cover flights to Melbourne, and transporting the group to and around the Southern Riverina.
During their stay, the group will meet for meals at the Blighty Pub on Monday and Wednesday, and the Finley RS Club on Tuesday.
