Also held the club held their general meeting and the presentations of 2019/20 Club Champions Trophies.
It was decided to merge all of these events into a one-day event, due to the COVID restrictions this year.
The club had 46 players with other members watching from the side lines.
The club had the honour of hosting the President of The Ovens and Murray, Laureen Smith, who graciously presented our Super Veterans with their veteran pins and the Leo Farrell and Lorraine Klose presentations.
Winners on the day were Raz Porter, David Lewis and Ann Smith. But overall, everyone was a winner being able to come back as a group and roll some bowls.
A big thank you to the match committee who turned on a fantastic day. Without their efforts events like this wouldn’t be possible, so thankyou from everyone.
A reminder that this coming Saturday, October 4 the club is having an inter-club game. The pennant selectors would like to see as many people as possible turn up. People that are only playing Tuesday Pennant are also encouraged to play.
Names are to be down by 5pm Friday. Uniform to be worn please.
The lists and event dates for the club championship matches have been posted on the notice board inside the club rooms. Please check these dates and have your names down by the close off date for each event please.
