Corowa Public School Fete rolls around

As the weather is warming up, the students at Corowa Public School are getting excited for their annual school fete.

This year the event will be held on Sunday, December 1 from 10am - 2pm and there are plenty of fun activities to keep kids of all ages entertained.

The main attractions include an inflatable bungee run challenge, the colour run and a haunted house, alongside traditional fete favourites such as the chocolate bed, jumping castle and face painting.

“We are hoping for a sunny day so that the water slide can be enjoyed and the slushies will help to cool people down. There will be many food delights ranging from milkshakes and popcorn to a sausage sizzle and roast pork rolls. We are lucky to have a local coffee van coming along to join the fun,” Catherine Douglas of the P&C Committee said.

“We have been fortunate to have support from many businesses in our community and there will be opportunities to win some amazing prizes that have been donated. Buy a ticket in the major raffle to win yourself a holiday or a weekend getaway.

“Fundraising events like this are important for our small public school to ensure we are equipped to maintain a high level of education locally and provide quality facilities for the children of our town. All profits from the day will be returned to the school to help pay for necessary maintenance of current equipment. “
