Corowa Hospital managing five COVID-19 cases

Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) has confirmed this afternoon that they are managing a number of COVID-19 cases at Corowa Hospital.

There are currently five cases associated with the hospital - four patients and one staff member. The staff member is fully vaccinated.

The source of the outbreak is currently under investigation.

There are no other exposure sites in Corowa to report at this time.

Patients and staff who have been identified as close contacts are being supported by MLHD and are currently undergoing testing.

MLHD is monitoring the situation closely in line with its COVID-19 Management plan and the community can be reassured that it is safe to present for care at Corowa Hospital’s Emergency Department.

The community is also reminded to monitor for symptoms and if they occur, to get tested and isolate until they receive a negative result.
