“Firstly, the parents getting up on stage!” she said. “They were so nervous - the kids were telling them to stay calm!
“Most importantly, the kids have improved so much. We have some really talented students, and some have gone on overseas. All the kids impressed.”
Held in the Odd Fellows Hall Corowa from 7.00pm to 8.50pm, the concert’s ages of youngsters ranged from four-and-a-half-year-old Jack McKenna on the guitar to 17-year-old Teague playing lead guitar.
Excellent performances included a wide range of classical, rock and pop music.
Practice lessons leading up to the concert for the budding musicians were every week for two terms, up to ten weeks.
Bernadette is very pleased with the improvement and flexibility in the use of musical instruments displayed by her students. Her concert is held every two years.
