The YMAA Art Show was successfully opened on November 1 at ClubMulwala with great attendance and several awards presented.

Several of the special attendees were Cheryl Cook - Federation Council Mayor, John Clarke - Board Member of Club Mulwala, Damien Keel – Campus Principal of Yarrawonga College P-12, invited guests, members and their partners.
The guest speaker was YMAA member Prue Dickins who was truly inspirational, describing her journey through art including her quest to enter the Archibald Prize.

1st Prize: Linda Apap for her work ‘Is There Anybody Out There?’
2nd Prize: Tim Redfern for his piece ‘Lake Mulwala’
3rd Prize: Glenn Owen for his work ‘Gorilla’

The YMAA is flourishing with membership growing, due mainly to the opening of the gallery just over two years ago which supports local artists providing a place to display their work.
Enthusiastic members volunteer at the gallery to keep it open from Wednesday to Sunday 10am – 3pm with some classes also on offer including Start to Art Classes and Paint and Sip classes.

YMAA would like to thank Bunnings Yarrawonga for all their support, and Lake Mulwala Bakery who graciously donates to these sausage sizzles.
YMAA supports local artists and the community with one of these being Friends in Common who YMAA were able to donate $2,750 to recently and still ongoing.
