Hunt scored 103 off 137 balls in Wednesday's match, with Nathan McSweeney (51 off 53 balls) and Jake Lehmann (37no off 25 balls) chipping in with handy knocks to lift the Redbacks to a competitive total.
WA paceman Joel Paris (1-36 off 10 overs) was the pick of the bowlers while AJ Tye finished with 2-53.
Hunt had a previous highest score of 61 from his seven List A appearances, but he surpassed that during a measured knock that featured 10 boundaries.
By the time he departed in the 42nd over after skying Paris, the Redbacks were well set at 3-191.
WA sit on top of the one-day table after starting their title defence with four straight wins.
South Australia are second with three wins and a loss.
